“I would like to start off by saying thank you to Mike Myers in sales. I’d been looking at a Fat Boy for a long time and had explained to Mike what I had in mind. Mike brought up a few points about long distance travel that I hadn’t thought of on a Fat Boy and recommended that I look at a Road King. The price is about the same , maybe a little up or down but the ride, handling , and control would be worth it in the long run no doubt. I must say he was right. Had it not been for Mike taking his time with me that day and showing me some of the issues that I hadn’t thought of I would have purchased a bike that I would have been trying to sell within a year or two because it didn’t fit. Thanks Mike. As for this dealership, I have taken Mikes advise and test driven three different touring bikes on there Demo Days. I have to say that they are truely organized when it comes to highway safety and test drives. There is a road captain that takes the riders out on a course that they have near the dealership. “Hey all I just got back from New Orleans. I had to go to the Harley shop and get a part. First, they seemed mad that I butted in on their bull-shitting session but I stood in front of them for 15 min. Not a hello or nothing. They gave me the wrong part not to mention I had to buy more tools because they would not lend me one single tool. I had a talk with the head honcho, and told her that all her employes needed to go to Sav. HD and have lessons on every part of being a GREAT HARLEY DAVIDSON DEALERSHIP, you all rock. I arrived with my bike on a trailer after being rescueded on the side of the road with a flat, however, it was late Saturday afternoon and I feared I would be stranded for a couple of days….a experiece I have had in the past. Upon arrival you service department proceded unload the bike and start changing the tire. I couldn’t believe it. I walked next door to Hooters for lunch and upon my return my bike was ready. Unbeliveable, less than 2 hours from the time my tire went flat on I-16, 22 miles from you dealship I was riding away. Many thanks to everyone in the service department!”

I ran into a minor mechanical problem with my Super Glide. It is a reoccurring problem which I had checked before leaving on vacation. It started acting up while I was in North Carilona. But I ran into trouble after my 5k mile service on May 30. 5 days later I took a 7 day trip to the mountians and half way I had to stop at the neastest HD dealer (Timm’s HD at Anderson,SC) to have the drive belt RE-AJUSTED. Fortunately the dealer was only 20 miles away and worked me into his service schedule quickly. The total delay time was about 2 hours. After that my trip was great, my FXDL worked like new. “It’s me again with ANOTHER Great experience at Savannah Harley-Davidson!As you have read before,I recently purchased an )7′ Harley-Davidson Sportster.I was having problems with the back shocks”bottoming out” when I hit bumps(quite natural considering I am 6′2′ and 255 lbs).I was also having a problem with the throttle sticking.I rode to the Dealershipto schedule a service appointment to rectify these problems.I was immediately greeted by personnel(a young girl at the apparel desk(I did not get her name)She directed me to Christy at the service desk.I told Christy my problem and asked when could she schedule a service appointment for me.She informed me that they were booked until after May 20th.I resigned myself to the wait BUT she said,”Let’s go see if one of the mechanics has a few minutes to talk to you”.She asked a mechanic named”Chris”(he was just finishing up on one bike and had another one to get started on).He listened to my problem,immediately diagnosed what it was from just listening to me!)I told him I would see him in a few weeks when my appointment was scheduled.He said,”No,pull the bike around back and I”ll see what I can do for you.”I was SHOCKED!Most dealerships would make you wait,BUT here was Chris and Christy(on a VERY BUSY FRIDAY)already getting me taken care of!!!I pulled the bike around back(to the shop)He wheeled the bike in and IMMEDIATELY went to work on it!!!I went up front to visit with the GREAT guys(Mike,John and Richard)that treated me so GOOD when I originally bought my bike.I returned within 25 minutes expecting my bike was still being worked on.To my amazement,Chris told me the two problems were fixed and my bike was outside READY TO GO!Whoever is reading this,Don’t take my word(s) for all of this.GO TO SAVANNAH HARLEY-DAVIDSON AND F”

“This Dealership is FANTASTIC!I first came to this Dealership with a friend just “Window-shopping”.Mike(salesman) greeted us as soon as we came in the door.We told him we were just looking.Most Salesman would have lost interest at that point.Not Mike,he showed us several models and even took us back into their shop to see The new(Rocker)model they did not even have on the Showroom floor yet!He treated us like we were ROYALTY!I was SO impressed by Mike that a week later,I went to their web-site to check out their Pre-owned inventory.I saw a bike I liked and put in for a quote.The next morning at 9:05 a.m.(they open at 9 a.m.!) “The Best! While traveling from Florida to southern Ohio, my wife & I had the misfortune to need emergency HD service but we had the good fortune to be near the Savannah HD shop. We had stopped at the Savannah HD shop earlier to take a rest break and buy a couple t-shirts. After leaving the shop, we traveled about 45 minutes north when our ‘01 FLH lost all its electrical power. This was on a Saturday evening just before closing time. Not being familiar with the area, we called the Savannah shop and told them what happend. Within a few minutes, we were told not to worry that Terry was coming to pick us up. Terry braved a Georgia thunderstom to pick up us and our ‘01 Electra Glide (and the trailer we aere towing) and took us the nearly 50 miles back to the shop. It was too late to repair the bike so Chuck arranged for us to stay in a local motel within sight of the shop and took us and our luggage to the motel. The next day, Sunday, Mystie put the bike on the rack and discovered the problem to be a dead alternator caused by a bare wire that shorted out under the bike. Mystie (who was 8 months pregnant!) performed an electrical system check and found no other problems. She then replaced the stator and battery. Chuck had Lonnie road test the bike. By late afternoon, we were on our way. Can’t say enough good things about the folks at Savannah HD. P.S. We continued our ride home and had no other problems. All in all we rode about 2,500 miles, met many super folks along the way; but, none as nice and as helpful as the folks at Savannah HD. On the way back from Boone I noticed the sidecar tire was very worn tread wise, so we stopped at your dealership on June 25th,2007. Mystie was wonderful and so were the Service Manager and tech that replaced the tire and documented it so I could get reimbursed for it. The sidecar tire was mounted with reverse rotation. “On Sunday of a beautiful Memorial Day Weekend, we packed the kids and their Ipods and hit the road for a ride down highway 17 with food as the destination! Well, half way to this mouth-watering seafood buffet, the secondary belt on my ‘96 Sporty — expired! What are two women, two teenagers, two ipods, four growling stomachs with 1 bag of HD beefkerky to do? Make a what I thought dreaded phone call to Savannah Harley Davidson. I was immediately put on the phone to the General Mgr.- Chuck Watkins, explained my scenario in the middle of knowhere, and he said —- be there ASAP! Within 25 minutes he was there, we loaded up and was greeted by the Service Manager-Al Silver. He said he would have us on the road in no time! As luck would have it, there were Hooters wings, rings & things offered to us and the kids! Before we finished filling our bellies of the gracious spread before us, the Sporty was ready and we were stuffed like hogs. Every person in that building that day made us feel so welcome and we are grateful for such a kind and sincere staff that you have! We ended-up having a great day thanks to ya’ll & the kids even thanked us for having a safe “adventure” on the side of the road! “Hi guys. My name is Jim. My friend, Longrider Pete and I were in your dealership Sat. Oct. 22, 2005. We are from Connecticut. My 2004 FLH fire bike had a problem and Bill Blanchard, the service manager, came outside right away to find out what the problem was. He changed the spark plugs, but the problem persisted. Right away my bike was taken into the service dept. where I met Gerald Brady, an ace mechanic, who found the problem. He explained everything he was doing and was very professional. As Longrider Pete and I were hanging around in the service area CJ came in and made coffee for everyone. Lance soon came by and made sure we had coffee and asked if everything was alright. Gerald got us back on the road within a couple of hours and the bike ran great all the way to Connecticut. This was one of the greatest experiences I had at a Harley dealership. Just wanted to say thanks for everything and letting this biketoberfest trip be a memorable one. Many other dealerships should take lessons from the staff at Savannah Harley-Davidson.”

“I purchased a 2005 Ultra Classic on January, 18th 2005 from Tom Wyan’s North End Repair in Plattsburgh, NY. I left for Florida the first week of Feb. & North End strapped my Harley in my closed-in trailer for me because I am a fully disabled Vietnam Vet and have trouble with my leg etc. When I checked the bike in the trailer the first time I noticed the left tailpipe muffler was loose so I stopped at your dealership to check it out with an “ok”. From the time I walked in the door and until I left, everyone was extremely helpful, courteous and went out of their way to see if I needed help with anything. I want to specifically mention the help I received by your service manager & staff and especially Chris Pace who worked on my Harley. Mr. Pace treated it as if it was his own bike. On a return trip from St. Augustine, FL to Charlotte, NC my 2003 Road King experienced a broken throttle cable. I placed a call to your service department and was directed to Bill Blanchard. Bill was extremely professional and went out of his way to quickly address the problem. Short handed on a holiday weekend he sent Duane Blewett to the rescue with a trailer. Duane arrived in a few minutes and was able to get the bike loaded and back to the shop. As luck would have it the mechanic on duty was busy with a major repair so Bill took it upon himself to replace the cable. In no time I was back on the road. In this day and age it is rare to see such dedication. Bill and Duane demonstrated the highest level of customer service and professionalism and are to be commended. Please let Bill and Duane know how much I appreciate their efforts. I’ll look forward to stopping by the next time I pass through Savannah and will go out of my way to pass the word to others.”

“I want to send my heart felt appreciation for the way you handled my mechanical problems on Saturday, July 16th. I was on a road trip with 12 other bikes when I started to have what appeared to be serious carburetor problem making my Heritage sputter and spit and go dead if I let off the trottle. I managed to limp into the dealership at 9:00am and the Service Dept. immediately jumped on my problem. By 10:15 I was on my way to catch my group who were going to wait on me in Charleston. Not only did I have a healthy bike, but I had a clear understanding of what had gone wrong because the staff took the time to explain to me what had happened and why. I have my own business and I pray my staff treats my customers with the attentiveness and respect that I received Saturday. The staff in the Service Dept. reacted to the situation in the manner that you would hope any H-D dealership would when you are on the road, but that is unfortunatley not always the case. Savannah H-D is a dealership that you tell people about and encourage to visit because of its excellent staff and biker friendly policies. That is what I’ll be doing next month when I address our local H.O.G. chapter as one of its officers. Thank you again for helping to make a memorable trip.”
